Reaching heights up to 20 feet and eight feet across, a forest of Giant Dagger Yuccas can be found at the end of the 5-mile Dagger Flat Auto Trail within the park. As part of the asparagus family, these unique plants native to Mexico can also be known as Spanish Dagger Yuccas. Unfortunately at this time of the year (early December), we missed the spectacular bloom of the plant.
